36.60

疏「二前後因依相續無性」下，是第二意，上辨人空，此明法空。於中又二：先正明法空、後「此性即是第一義空」下會通佛性。然案顯文，但辨二空理已玄矣，觀其法喻，包《涅槃經》佛性深義，故復顯之。此中文勢連環，先總示佛性，即〈師子品〉初，如前玄中已廣引竟。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Second, the continuity of earlier and later causes and dependencies is without self-nature," and so on: this is the second meaning. Above, the emptiness of persons was distinguished; here, the emptiness of dharmas is clarified. Within this, there are also two parts: first, directly clarifying the emptiness of dharmas; second, from "This nature is precisely the supreme-meaning emptiness" onward, synthesizing and connecting it with Buddha-nature. However, examining the explicit text, merely distinguishing the principle of the two emptinesses is already profound. Observing its dharmas and similes, it encompasses the deep meaning of Buddha-nature in the Nirvāṇa Sūtra, hence it is revealed once more. The syntactical progression in this text is interconnected; first, it generally indicates Buddha-nature, which is the beginning of the "Siṃhanāda Chapter," as has already been extensively cited in the overarching discussion above.
