36.66

疏「而中陰五陰亦非自生」下，約後陰明非斷常。先明非無因常，以《中論》明無因則墮常過，如外道立時方微塵等故。後「既能續前」下，明續故不斷。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "And the five aggregates of intermediate existence also do not arise of themselves," and so forth: this clarifies non-annihilation and non-permanence with respect to the subsequent aggregate. First, it clarifies that it is not uncaused permanence, because the Madhyamakaśāstra clarifies that being uncaused lapses into the fault of permanence, as when non-Buddhists posit time, space, atoms, and the like. Later, from "Since it can continue the earlier" onward, it clarifies that because of continuity it is not annihilated.
