37.59

疏「前會無勝進」下，上正科經文，此下對前辨異。次「迴向是位」下，通外難。先牒難也。從「三賢位滿」下，通。通有二意：一明有勝進總攝前三，故不別立；二「亦顯」下，明無勝進則後無方便，欲證無分別智故。

Regarding the Commentary's statement "The preceding assembly had no superior progression..." onwards: above was the main classification of the sūtra text, while from here onward it distinguishes the differences in contrast to what preceded. Next, under "Pariṇāmanā is a stage...", it resolves an external objection. First, it cites the objection. From "When the stage of the three worthies is fulfilled..." onwards, it resolves it. The resolution has two points: first, it clarifies that having superior progression comprehensively subsumes the preceding three, and therefore it is not established separately; second, under "It also shows...", it clarifies that if there were no superior progression, then later there would be no upāya, as one wishes to realize non-conceptual wisdom.
