38.68

疏「菩薩入則觀佛教理」下，佛合上父，教合前聲，色合前理，顯然可見故。可化曰賢，不可化如愚。

Regarding the commentary from "When a bodhisattva enters, he observes the Buddha's teachings and principle" down: the Buddha corresponds to the 'father' above; the teaching corresponds to the 'sound' before; form corresponds to the 'principle' before, because it is visibly manifest. Those who can be transformed are called worthy; those who cannot be transformed are like fools.
