疏「梵行以何為體」下，二出體性。於中有三：初列三類、二「涅槃五行」下對辯異同、三「然此三」下別釋其相。二中言五行者，即《涅槃》十一〈聖行品〉，謂一聖行、二梵行、三天行、四嬰兒行、五病行。

From the commentary's "With what as the essence of brahmacaryā" downward, the second part identifies its essential nature. Within this there are three parts: first, listing three categories; second, from "the five practices of the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra]" downward, debating similarities and differences in contrast; and third, from "However, these three" downward, separately explaining their characteristics. In the second part, what is called the "five practices" refers to the "Chapter on Noble Practices" in the eleventh fascicle of the Nirvāṇa [Sūtra], namely: 1. noble practice, 2. pure practice (brahmacaryā), 3. heavenly practice, 4. infant practice, and 5. sick practice.
