Regarding the commentary's statement, "Five, diverse (nānātva), and so forth, in the new translation called ordinary being (pṛthagjana)," and so forth: This is from the thirteenth fascicle of the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra. The earlier citation of the Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa was somewhat abridged; in full, it follows the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā, where it is called the "multitude of enumerations." The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states, "From the self and person, there are the dharmas of the multitude of enumerations such as aggregates and dhātus; furthermore, grasping self and person as the enumeration of all dharmas such as aggregates, dhātus, and āyatanas." A multitude of dharmas is the meaning of "diverse." As for "six, pudgala," and so forth, this is the name in the Yogācārabhūmi.
