In the Commentary, "Here we briefly cite four things": in reality, the Prajñāpāramitopadeśa, the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā, and others broadly list many dharmas. The Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā states: "What are conditioned dharmas? If a dharma has arising, abiding, and cessation (this explains the meaning of conditioned): the five aggregates of the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm, up to the feelings produced by causes and conditions of mental consciousness, the four stations of mindfulness up to the eighteen unshared dharmas, for the sake of all-knowledge—these are conditioned dharmas." The Prajñāpāramitopadeśa explains: "Conditioned dharmas briefly possess three characteristics: first, the so-called arising, abiding, and cessation; second, bound to the three realms; third, the four stations of mindfulness up to the eighteen unshared dharmas. Although there are unconditioned dharmas, because they are accompanied by action/effort, they are conditioned dharmas. Having unconditioned characteristics makes them unconditioned dharmas." Exposition: Here, since the eighteen unshared dharmas and the rest are subsumed under determinate dharmas, we only briefly present the four; sentient beings then encompass the aggregates, bases, and elements.
