The Commentary's "Bodhisattva Mahāyāna-piṭaka Sūtra" is also simply called the Bodhisattva-piṭaka Sūtra, consisting of only one fascicle. It is also named Homage to the Buddha, Repentance, Rejoicing, etc., and later broadly explains the merits of pariṇāmanā and so forth. It first clarifies the offering to the Buddha of seven jewels filling trichiliocosms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, and later states that the merit of practicing this pariṇāmanā surpasses the former merit, etc., thus citing an immeasurable fruit; this is indeed a paraphrase of its meaning. The Commentary's "The mind of pariṇāmanā constitutes great benefit" tacitly quotes the verse by Bodhisattva Samantarūpasaṃdarśana from the "Buddha Path Chapter" of the Vimalakīrtinirdeśa. The verse says: "Rich in the seven treasures of wealth, / One teaches them so they increase; / Practicing as has been spoken, / Pariṇāmanā constitutes great benefit." The remark "Therefore it is explained after the practices" is because it dedicates the preceding practices.
