Regarding the commentary's phrase "universally sees all [sentient beings]" and so forth: "and so forth" has two meanings. First, it includes the following text below: "up to universally seeing all sentient beings enter nirvāṇa, all being of the same nature, namely, having no nature. What kind of nature do they lack? Namely, they have no characteristic-nature, no exhaustion-nature, no arising-nature, and no cessation-nature," and so forth. Second, it takes in the sūtra text immediately following: "Sons of the Buddha! A bodhisattva should know that within a single pore of the Tathāgata's body, there is the number of all sentient beings," and so forth. The bodies of all buddhas are also precisely the meaning of the "storehouse of the body." Above, it universally contained sentient beings; here, it only contains all buddhas. Above, the entire body contained them; here, a single pore contains them. Pores that pervade the dharmadhātu should also be known to be like this; hence, the body is a storehouse.
