49.5

疏「四定地上，光明集、福德王、賢首」等，如〈出現品〉。四智之義亦具上文。智各有四，如〈出現品〉。疏「今依賢首是八忍八智」者，且依《唯識》釋之。即論釋相見道中緣安立諦有十六心見道。「然此有二」下，即彼論文。「但以立十六」下，有標句云謂於苦諦有四種心，下全同論。

Regarding the commentary's "upon the stage of the fourth dhyāna: Radiance Collection, Merit King, Virtuous Head," and so forth: This is as in the "Manifestation Chapter." The meaning of the four cognitions is also fully set out in the preceding text. Each cognition has four [aspects], as in the "Manifestation Chapter." Regarding the commentary's "Now, following Virtuous Head, these are the eight patiences and eight cognitions": This is explained tentatively in accordance with the Vijñaptimātratā[-siddhi]. That is, the treatise's explanation of the path of seeing with marks, where the sixteen minds of the path of seeing take the established truths as their cognitive objects. From "However, here there are two" onward, it cites the text of that treatise. From "merely by establishing sixteen" onward, there is a heading sentence stating that there are four minds regarding the truth of suffering; what follows is entirely identical with the treatise.
