第八依德。本文三：初明大意、次「略有二類」下別釋、後「若感者」下揀濫。初中，疏「川有珠」下喻。「內無德」下合。後「然唯約說者」，揀定。

Eighth, [the condition of] relying on virtue. The root text has three parts: first, clarifying the overarching meaning; next, from 'briefly there are two kinds' downward, specifically explaining; finally, from 'if one responds' downward, sorting out confusions. In the first part, in the commentary, from 'the river having pearls' downward is an analogy. From 'internally lacking virtue' downward is the application. Finally, 'however, this is only with respect to the preacher' differentiates and determines.
