疏「今更詳之」者，第四會順違也。於中三：初全縱、次半奪、後出古意。今初，言「古如所破」者，經線俱為敵對，而言線是經非，故如所破。

Regarding the commentary's phrase “Examining it further now,” this is the fourth part: harmonizing the accords and contradictions. Within this are three points: first, full concession; next, partial rebuttal; finally, presenting the ancient intention. In the first: saying that “the ancient [view] is as refuted” means that both warp-threads of a loom and strings are exact equivalents [of sūtra], but asserting that string is correct while warp-thread is not is as refuted.
