疏「四約教不同可以思準」者，小乘但有生空，始教即立二空及六七等不即於事，終教則即事即如，頓教多用非安立義，圓教即是百門重重無盡。

Regarding the Commentary's phrase, “Fourth, the differences according to the teachings may be deduced by analogy”: the Hīnayāna only has the emptiness of the person; the initial teaching establishes the two emptinesses and the six, seven, etc., which are not identical to concrete phenomena; the final teaching maintains that concrete phenomena are themselves tathatā; the sudden teaching mostly employs the non-established meaning; and the perfect teaching is precisely the hundred gates, layered and inexhaustible.
