疏「前中或總為一」下，二增數展轉科。欲明此十，須知論中初地八分，謂一序分、二三昧分、三加分、四起分、五本分、六請分、七說分、八校量勝分，下文開合多涉此八。

On the Commentary's passage starting from "In the preceding, it is either taken as a whole as one...": Second, the classification progressing in increasing numbers. If one wishes to clarify these ten, one must know the eight divisions of the first stage in the Treatise, namely: (1) the introductory division; (2) the samādhi division; (3) the empowerment division; (4) the arising division; (5) the root division; (6) the requesting division; (7) the expounding division; (8) the comparative superiority division. The combining and dividing in the text below largely involves these eight.
