52.31

疏「或為四分」者，具列應云：一序分、二法說顯地分、三約喻顯地分、四流通分。言「教證準前」者，若約教道即正宗開二，已如上列。若約證道即流通開出，應云：一序分、二正宗分、三法說流通分、四喻說流通分。然下釋文但就教道，故疏但云「於正說中」。

Regarding the Commentary's "or made into four divisions": Setting them out completely, one should say: (1) the introductory division; (2) the division of expounding through Dharma to reveal the stages; (3) the division of relying on metaphors to reveal the stages; and (4) the transmission division. As for the statement "teaching and realization are modeled on the preceding": If regarding the path of teaching, the central doctrine is opened into two, as already set forth above. If regarding the path of realization, then opening out from the transmission, one should say: (1) the introductory division; (2) the central doctrine division; (3) the transmission division expounding through Dharma; and (4) the transmission division expounding through metaphor. However, the explanation of the text below only considers the path of teaching, so the Commentary merely says, "in the proper expounding."
