疏「問初第八中前七」下，第二問答料揀，於中有二問答。初問論科通局、後「問初不說戒」下釋通外難。前中，先問、後答。答中二：先訶問非，以文難義故；後「豈不」下，示正可知。

Regarding the commentary's phrase "Question: Among the first and the eighth, the prior seven..." below, this is the second part, questions and answers with analytical discrimination, in which there are two questions and answers. First, asking whether the treatise's division is comprehensive or restricted; later, below "Question: Why are precepts not expounded at first...", resolving and clarifying external objections. In the former, first there is the question, followed by the answer. In the answer there are two parts: first, rebuking the question as flawed because it challenges the meaning with the literal phrasing; later, below "How could it not...", indicating the correct [meaning], which can be understood.
