Regarding the commentary's: "Furthermore, adornment..." on downward, this is the second part, explaining adornment in terms of both cognitions together. Unlike the previous interpretation which only used subsequent [cognition], saying "through obtaining these two, one thoroughly penetrates the dharmadhātu" means that the dharmadhātu has phenomena and principle, which the two cognitions can individually comprehend; it also means that through the unimpeded two cognitions, one comprehends the dharmadhātu of the non-obstruction of phenomena and principle, and so forth. Regarding the commentary's: "in many hundreds of gates," and so on, it means that in a single thought-moment one attains one hundred samādhis, gets to see one hundred buddhas, knows the spiritual powers of one hundred buddhas, can shake one hundred worlds, can pass beyond one hundred buddha-worlds, can illuminate one hundred buddha-worlds, can instruct and transform the sentient beings of one hundred worlds, can abide for a lifespan of one hundred kalpas, can know the events of one hundred kalpas in the past and future, can enter one hundred Dharma gates, and can manifest one hundred bodies, with each body manifesting one hundred bodhisattvas as retinue, and so forth; hence it says that in many hundreds of gates, one attains mastery through both cognitions.
