Regarding the commentary's passage beginning with 'The remaining six lines of the sūtra': this explains the fourth purity. The text of the commentary has three parts: 1. It designates the name: in terms of the essence being free from defilement, it is called the purity of the body. 2. From 'Subsumed into three kinds of culmination' onward, it unfolds the meaning in accordance with the treatise. Within this there are also three parts: the first line designates that, in comparison with the treatise, it unfolds into three, while in comparison with the six lines of the sūtra, the six are subsumed into three. 'Both reveal the fulfillment of the two benefits, thus accomplishing virtue' generally reveals that the three kinds of culmination merely fulfill the previous three lines; because of the two benefits, the three kinds of culmination below all possess both benefits. 3. From 'Accomplishing virtue is twofold' onward, it gives the rationale for the three. Saying 'the latter two kinds of culmination' refers to: first, displaying emergence in contrast to what is below, so there is the culmination of being distinct from the two vehicles; second, displaying entry in contrast to what is above, so there is the culmination of the Buddha. Therefore, these three kinds of culmination are threefold in terms of persons: 1. in terms of the bodhisattva oneself; 2. emerging beyond the two vehicles; 3. being identical with the Buddha above.
