疏「第二明中後九支」者，亦可言十，義如前說。隱現行識，即言九耳，下當廣明。

Regarding the Commentary's statement: 'Second, clarifying the nine middle and later branches': one may also say ten, the meaning of which is as explained before. By concealing active consciousness, it simply says nine; it will be explained extensively below.
