第二離垢地。疏「所以來者」，文二：先舉論、後「言正位」下疏釋。謂依上見道而有修道，修道修行三學。上正釋論、後「前地」下解妨。妨云：初地豈無戒耶？答意可知。

Second, the Ground of Freedom from Defilement. Regarding the Commentary's statement: "The reason it comes next": the text has two parts: first, citing the treatise; second, the Commentary's explanation under the words "Speaking of the correct stage." That is, relying on the path of seeing above, there is the path of cultivation; the path of cultivation cultivates the three trainings. The above directly explains the treatise; below, under "the previous ground," it resolves an objection. The objection asks: "Could the first ground lack precepts?" The intent of the answer can be understood.
