6.46

疏「又無量義」下，上引法華破之，今引他經破之。既云一切時中皆有大小，則先後非獨大乘，中間非獨小乘也。此皆直破而不收之者。下開宗立教之中收於此義，故此略無。又前出經意，已是收竟。

Regarding the commentary's "Moreover, the Immeasurable Meanings [Sūtra]" and below: above, the Lotus Sūtra was cited to refute it; now, other sūtras are cited to refute it. Since it says that at all times there are both the Great and the Small, the earlier and later are not solely the Mahāyāna, and the intermediate is not solely the Hinayāna. All of these are directly refuted without being subsumed. Below, in the section on opening the schools and establishing the teachings, this doctrine is subsumed; therefore, it is omitted here. Furthermore, having clarified the sūtra's intention above, it has already been subsumed.
