Regarding the Commentary's 'second, having no intention of seeking escape': this refers to delusion regarding cessation and the path; that is, not knowing what the house is. Therefore, the Commentary says 'deludedly taking the burning house as pleasant'; this means failing to recognize cessation and not understanding how to cultivate the path, where seeking escape constitutes having no intention of seeking escape. Regarding the Commentary's 'first, foolishness': the four faults are all faults of accumulating evil conduct, and foolishness is their root. It means committing transgressive deeds for the sake of small immediate pleasures and incurring great future suffering; hence it is foolishness. The six characters beginning with 'deep darkness' distinctly clarify the three faults, two characters per fault. What they cover and obstruct applies to both meanings above.
