60.59

疏「無始發方便」者，則顯二是中間所趣不真；三是終造，即行不真。此三失道，翻有妄集。後三失滅，翻有妄苦。前二內苦，一四大即老病苦、二五盛陰苦、三總餘五苦。人皆厭苦，由著我故不能得出。

Regarding the Commentary's statement "from the beginningless [past] giving rise to expedients": this shows that the second is that what one aims toward in between is not true; the third is what one finally undertakes, meaning the practice is not true. These three lose the path, inversely having false accumulation. The latter three lose cessation, inversely having false suffering. The first two are internal suffering: first, the four great elements, which is the suffering of old age and illness; second, the suffering of the five clinging-aggregates; third, summarily the remaining five sufferings. All people loathe suffering, yet because of clinging to a self, they cannot escape.
