64.45

疏「古人兼取彼果」等者，疏意不美此釋，亦不言非，故舉古人，不言去取。若依染淨逆順成四十重，三觀歷之成百二十，斯理然也。

Regarding the Commentary's statement, "The ancients concurrently took their fruits," and so forth: The Commentary's intention does not praise this interpretation, nor does it call it incorrect; hence it cites the ancients without stating whether to accept or reject it. If one establishes forty tiers according to defilement and purity, forward and reverse, and applies the three contemplations through them, they make one hundred and twenty; this principle is indeed so.
