66.17

疏「即當第二依止觀」者，疏有二解：前解但唯依第一義，故唯約淨；此明有支依持，故通染淨。第二解中，「依真起妄」者，不了第一義諦名無明等故。「顯妄依真」者，十二因緣皆依一心如是而立故。

Regarding the commentary's statement, "This corresponds to the second contemplation of reliance": The commentary has two explanations: The former explanation relies exclusively on the ultimate truth, and is thus strictly concerned with purity; this one clarifies the reliance and maintenance of the limbs of existence, and thus pertains to both defiled and pure. In the second explanation, "arising delusion relying on the true" refers to the fact that failing to understand the ultimate truth is called avidyā, and so forth. "Revealing that delusion relies on the true" refers to the fact that the twelve links of dependent origination are all established in reliance on the one mind in this manner.
