69.18

疏「上四」下，後結束。有兩重：初重約三佛性。三佛性義，至十地更明，大旨可知。後「又此四」下，展轉收束。謂何以知無本有實？新熏無成故。何以知無成？二相不可得故。何以知不可得？菩提涅槃亦離相故。

The meaning of the three Buddha-natures will be further clarified in the tenth ground; its general import can be known. Below "Furthermore, these four...", it progressively brings them together. That is to say: how does one know there is no original reality? Because new perfuming has no completion. How does one know there is no completion? Because the two characteristics cannot be obtained. How does one know they cannot be obtained? Because bodhi and nirvāṇa are also detached from characteristics.
