70.5

疏「後二慈悲利他」者，餘處慈能與樂，悲能拔苦。今悲不捨眾生，慈却救護世間，以慈悲皆通與樂拔苦故。言「後三願行相符」等者，願即第八，行即第九，佛護即第十。

Regarding the Commentary's phrase 'The last two concern benevolence and compassion to benefit others': elsewhere, benevolence can bestow happiness and compassion can eliminate suffering. Here, compassion does not abandon sentient beings, while benevolence conversely rescues and protects the world, because benevolence and compassion both encompass bestowing happiness and eliminating suffering. As for the statement 'The last three concern the mutual correspondence of vows and practices' and so forth: vows are the eighth, practices are the ninth, and protection by the Buddhas is the tenth.
