疏「三乘根性相形」者，小乘為下，緣覺為中，大乘為上。亦猶羊鹿牛形大小也。

Regarding the commentary's phrase “The dispositions of the faculties of the three vehicles compared with one another,” the Small Vehicle is lower, the pratyekabuddhas are intermediate, and the Great Vehicle is superior. This is just like comparing the sizes of sheep, deer, and oxen.
