72.23

「第八菩薩地相」者，說地體為法，地相為義。三詞者，說相不違體。四樂說者，說相隨機。此之體相即證教二道，亦即前義；說二大，亦即不可說及可說義。總收一品之意，廣如本分及請分中。

As for "the eighth, the characteristic of the bodhisattva grounds": explaining the essence of the grounds is the Dharma, and the characteristics of the grounds are the meaning. As for the third, phrased expression: speaking of the characteristics without contradicting the essence. As for the fourth, delighted speech: speaking of the characteristics in accordance with the capacities [of beings]. These essence and characteristics are the two paths of realization and teaching, and are also the preceding meaning; explaining the two greatnesses is also the meaning of the inexpressible and the expressible. Comprehensively gathering the intention of the entire chapter, it is extensively detailed as in the root division and the request division.
