疏「第四寶珠喻」中，合於十寶者，八輩為八、緣覺果行為二，總成為十。緣覺根利，不數入觀，故無多果，依學無學但分為二。「無利生用」者，合不能出寶。下引論「出故取」者，正證出寶，兼出海義。

In the Commentary's "Fourth, the precious jewel simile," matching the ten jewels: the eight classes [of noble ones] make eight, and the fruit and practice of the pratyekabuddha make two, totaling ten. Because the pratyekabuddha's faculties are sharp, they do not enter contemplation frequently and thus do not have multiple fruits; based on trainee (śaikṣa) and non-trainee (aśaikṣa), they are merely divided into two. "Having no function of benefiting sentient beings" matches the inability to yield jewels. Below, citing the Śāstra's "extracting because of emerging" directly proves yielding jewels, while also carrying the meaning of emerging from the ocean.
