疏「第二動地」者，然準論經云「一動、二踊、三上去、四起、五下去、六吼。」遠公釋云：「上去是令人覺，下去謂振下，如世虛物振撼。」餘如〈華藏品〉。餘文可知。

Regarding the commentary's "second, shaking the earth": based on the treatise on the sūtra, it says: "first, shaking; second, surging; third, rising up; fourth, leaping up; fifth, sinking down; sixth, roaring." Master Yuan explained: "'Rising up' causes beings to be awakened; 'sinking down' means vibrating downward, like shaking and rattling a hollow object in the world."
