疏「二十一種功德」，要尋〈昇兜率品〉，自當曉之。然此段文，亦是古德所不能知；今以攝佛功德釋之，有如符契，智者當曉。

As for the Commentary's "twenty-one kinds of merits," one must consult the "Ascending to Tuṣita Chapter," and then naturally understand it. However, this passage of text was also something earlier masters were unable to understand; now, interpreting it through subsuming the Buddha's merits is like fitting the two halves of a tally—the wise should understand.
