The commentary states: "Since both phenomena and principle are coursed in together..." and so forth; this concludes and resolves the explanation that because in samādhi there is no discrimination and in wisdom one contemplates the single characteristic, there is no abiding. Because samādhi does not destroy characteristics and wisdom does not destroy the manifold, there is no destruction. Furthermore, within the two lines, "not destroying" means not destroying characteristics. Within the two lines, because there is non-discriminating contemplation of the single characteristic, that is not destroying the nature. Within the two lines, not destroying the manifold characteristics means not abiding in principle. Within the two lines, non-discriminatingly contemplating the single characteristic means not abiding in phenomena. Thus, by coursing in both together, one attains non-destruction and non-abiding.
