74.38

疏若「依大品」下，第六段《大品》、《智論》所明十喻。十喻者，一如幻、二如焰、三如水中月、四如虛空、五如響、六如犍闥婆城、七如夢、八如影、九如鏡中像、十如化。《智論》第七廣明其相。什公有傳，叡公有讚，下釋文中並已含具。但闕揵城，大同幻故，欲成十忍，故不出之。又加三法，故合三影，皆為成圓十耳。

Regarding the commentary's "If based on the *Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā*..." onwards, this is the sixth section, the ten similes explained in the *Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā* and the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa*. The ten similes are: 1. like an illusion, 2. like a mirage, 3. like the moon in water, 4. like empty space, 5. like an echo, 6. like a gandharva city, 7. like a dream, 8. like a shadow, 9. like an image in a mirror, and 10. like a magical creation. Fascicle seven of the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* extensively elucidates their characteristics. Master Kumārajīva has a commentary and Master Sengrui has a eulogy; both are already encompassed in the explanatory text below. It only omits the gandharva city because it is largely identical to illusion; wishing to establish the ten kṣāntis, it is therefore not brought forth. Furthermore, because three phenomena are added, three shadows are combined, all in order to complete the round number of ten.
