疏「故上品」下，第二正顯來意。於中二：一近廣前品，兼菩薩壽；二「亦為」下，遠答初會，唯如來壽。

From the commentary's "Therefore, the preceding chapter" onward is the second part, which directly reveals the purpose of this text. Within it are two points: first, looking nearby, it expands upon the preceding chapter, also encompassing the bodhisattvas' life span; second, from "It is also to" onward, looking afar, it answers the initial assembly, concerning solely the Tathāgata's life span.
