疏「如來十身標人顯德」者，疏文有四：一釋名、二辨類、三出體、四辨因。若準《探玄》，宗中有佛相章八門分別：一釋名、二體性、三種類、四出因、五積成、六修時、七建立、八業用，今四門中已具其要。

Regarding the Commentary's statement: 'The Tathāgata's ten bodies indicate the person and reveal the virtues': the text of the Commentary has four parts: 1. explaining the names, 2. distinguishing the categories, 3. identifying the essence, and 4. distinguishing the causes. According to the Tanxuan [ji], under the principal doctrine, the chapter on the Buddha's marks has eight gates of distinction: 1. explaining the names, 2. essential nature, 3. categories, 4. identifying the causes, 5. accumulation and completion, 6. time of cultivation, 7. establishment, and 8. activity and function. The present four gates already contain their essentials.
