疏「又初凡聖同見」下，三約機見料揀。次「唯地上」者，他受用故。上報化不同，後唯圓機，即屬圓融，不分地前地上，故云「然通五位」。此五位者，即三賢、十聖、等妙二覺，六位之中除果位耳。若開十信，即除等覺。

Regarding the Commentary's passage beginning with: 'Furthermore, the first is seen alike by ordinary beings and noble ones': the third is critical analysis in terms of faculties and perception. 'Only those on the stages' for the next one is because it is for the enjoyment of others. Above, the reward and transformation differ, while the latter is only for those of perfect faculties, which belongs to perfect fusion, without distinguishing before the stages or on the stages; hence it states 'yet it pervades the five positions'. These five positions are the three [levels of] worthies, the ten [stages of] nobles, and the two awakenings of equal and marvelous; among the six positions, the fruit position is simply excluded. If the ten faiths are unfolded, then equal awakening is excluded.
