79.108

疏「不爾此說眾生」下，以理成立自他平等。謂此章中舉其十喻以辯佛智，忽引眾生有佛智者，何名為說諸佛心耶？明知是說眾生心為佛矣。「斯則玄」下，結歎歸宗。

Regarding the Commentary's statement from "Otherwise, this explanation of sentient beings..." onward, it establishes the equality of self and other through principle. It means that in this chapter, ten similes are adduced to distinguish the Buddha's wisdom; if it suddenly cites sentient beings possessing the Buddha's wisdom, how could that be called explaining the mind of the buddhas? One clearly knows that it explains the mind of sentient beings as buddha. From "This, then, is profound..." onward, it concludes in praise and returns to the primary tenet.
