79.81

疏「即轉釋前依」者，謂疏意明初喻為總，含下九喻，故下喻中節節指初。今以第一喻云虛空為一切法所依，喻佛智為一切世出世智所依，故今釋之云得為依，依彼出故。

Regarding the commentary's "This in turn explains the aforementioned reliance": this means the commentary intends to explain that the first simile is the overarching one, encompassing the nine similes below; therefore, in the similes below, it points back step by step to the first. Now, taking the first simile, which states that empty space is the support for all phenomena, it illustrates that the Buddha's cognition is the support for all mundane and supramundane cognitions; hence it is now explained that it can be a support because they emerge in reliance on it.
