79.86

疏「體勝用深」下，疏文有二：先釋經、後解妨。今初。言「純淨圓德現種依持」者，純即無雜，淨即離染，圓者滿義。現行功德之依、種子功德之持，自性明善，名為清淨。有漏永亡，云離諸雜染。餘如前釋。

Regarding the commentary's "The essence is superior and the function is profound": the commentary text has two parts: first, explaining the sūtra; second, resolving objections. Now, the first: "Support and maintainer of the pure and perfect virtues of actualized [states] and seeds": "pure" means unmixed; "clean" means free from defilement; "perfect" means complete. It is the support of actualized merits and the maintainer of seed merits; its self-nature is bright and wholesome, called pure. Contaminated states are eternally extinguished, called free from all defilements. The rest is as explained earlier.
