80.2

疏「始本無二絕二礙」者，此有二意：一則眾生本有佛智，是則本覺不礙始覺，如是而證名無礙智；二者斷障顯了，則無煩惱、所知二礙。

Regarding the commentary's words, "Initial and fundamental are non-dual, eliminating the two hindrances": this has two meanings. First, sentient beings fundamentally possess the buddha-wisdom; in that case, fundamental awakening does not obstruct initial awakening, and realizing it in this way is called unobstructed wisdom. Second, when the obstacles are severed and it is manifested, then the two hindrances—affliction and the knowable—do not exist.
