80.65

疏「二出體性」者，疏文分二：一總顯深玄、二別出體性。今初，先顯體深、後體用無礙。初中，「妙絕常數」者，即第十九演〈玄得〉中文。彼云「何者？夫涅槃之道妙盡常數，融冶二儀、滌蕩萬有，均天人、同一異，內視不己見、返聽不我聞，未常有得、未常無得。」今取此言，總歎深旨。

In the commentary, as for "Second, presenting the essence": the commentary's text is divided into two parts: 1. generally revealing its profundity and mystery; 2. specifically presenting the essence. First, as for the initial part: first it reveals the profundity of the essence, and afterward the non-obstruction of essence and function. In the first part, "wondrously transcending ordinary calculations" is from the text of the tenth elucidation, "Mysterious Attainment." It says there: "Why is this? The Dao of nirvāṇa wondrously exhausts ordinary calculations; it fuses and smelts the two modes [heaven and earth], washes away the myriad things, equalizes gods and humans, unifies difference and identity; looking inward, one does not see oneself; listening backward, one does not hear an 'I'; it has never possessed attainment, and has never lacked attainment." Now it takes these words to generally praise the profound principle.
