84.37

疏「其助道」下，出不答餘因句之相。上通答方便，更加此助道出離，則此下方通答三因、別答五因，兼上方便，又通答二問，一本事因緣、二所入諸地，故具答十因。其上方中波羅蜜問，義便故重。

The Commentary states: "Its aids to the path...", clarifying the nature of not answering the remaining causal phrases. Above, upāya was answered generally; adding these aids to the path and renunciation, this downward direction generally answers three causes and separately answers five causes. Combined with upāya above, it also generally answers two questions: first, the causes and conditions of past events; second, the stages entered. Thus it fully answers the ten causes. In the upward direction, the question regarding pāramitā is repeated for convenience of meaning.
