89.37

疏三十五「吒字」，別譯為「姹（上聲）」字。若會經者，積集念佛，故能普見。《智論》云「若聞咃字，即知一切法無住處，南天竺咃那此言處故。」釋曰：念即處也。

In the commentary on the thirty-fifth [syllable], 'ṭha' (吒), another translation has the syllable 'ṭha' (姹, rising tone). If correlated with the sūtra, through the accumulation of mindfulness of the Buddha, one is able to see universally. The Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa states: 'If one hears the syllable ṭha (咃), one immediately knows that all phenomena have no dwelling place, because in South India sthāna (咃那) means place.' The explanation says: Mindfulness is itself the place.
