Regarding the commentary's "Dharma gates overlapping, like clouds arising in the vast sky": this is the ninth approach, relying on things to manifest phenomena and engender understanding. Saying "overlapping" is intended to show that the one and the many do not obstruct each other; hence, in accordance with every single thing, there are many Dharma gates. Because any single thing is immediately the inexhaustible dharmadhātu, since the dharmadhātu is inexhaustible, things are also inexhaustible. The "Chapter on Pariṇāmanā" says: "This flower is produced from the anutpattikadharmakṣānti," and so forth, intending to clarify that all causes produce a single fruit, and a single fruit is endowed with all causes; it is not that by relying on this, something else is symbolically indicated.
