Regarding the commentary's statement from "Furthermore, time has no separate essence" onward, it is explained in terms of the interfused subsumption of the Separate Teaching of the Ekayāna. Just as when the ṛṣi Vairaṃbha grasped Sudhana's hand, time traversed many eons and space spanned boundlessly; hence it cannot be conceived in terms of long or short. If revealing surpassing excellence, in a single lifetime it is suddenly perfected; if considered in terms of extreme profundity, across many eons it cannot be fathomed. Therefore it is said that one must not cling fixedly; the value lies in entering the profound.
