Regarding the Commentary's statement, "Precisely the fruit accomplished by the preceding compassion and wisdom": Those who understand thus, awakening to and comprehending everything and so on, are the fruit of wisdom. Thoroughly penetrating saṃsāra and nirvāṇa possesses both fruits. Because one has great compassion, one thoroughly penetrates saṃsāra; because one has great wisdom, one thoroughly penetrates nirvāṇa. Furthermore, saving oneself and so on is the fruit of wisdom, while causing others to attain salvation is the fruit of compassion. Both benefits are simply the fruit of compassion and wisdom.
