76.22

The commentary's "the fourth is the reverse of this" refers to: existing because of lacking nature, and being empty because of conditioned arising, all as in the "Chapter on the Clarification of Inquiries". If matched to the sūtra text, one should say: because it exists from conditions, it serves as the support for worlds; because it is empty of nature, it is without support. The four propositions merely articulate the reasons for the distinctions in the meaning of emptiness.
