Regarding the commentary's "Third, revealing the inconceivable": within it are three: first, generally adducing the essence of the dharma; second, from "Within the latter one" downward, specifically speaking of this sūtra; third, from "The foregoing are all the tenets" downward, concluding into the doctrinal purport.

Within the second, there are four:
1. "What is the inconceivable?"—inquiring into the essence of the inconceivable dharma. The answer states: cognition, compassion, and so forth.
2. "To whom is it inconceivable?"—inquiring into the person for whom it is inconceivable. The answer states: the worldly and so forth; such persons cannot conceive it.
3. "How is it inconceivable?"—inquiring into the essence of the inconceivability. Meaning that it is beyond the reach of thinking through hearing, contemplating, and so forth.
4. "For what purpose is it inconceivable?"—inquiring into the intention of the inconceivability. Meaning: when the Tathāgata expounds the Dharma, it originally aims to benefit sentient beings; now being beyond speech and thought, what benefit is it to beings? The meaning of the answer states: to enable them to enter through faith. Meaning that if one wishes to realize and enter, the mind must necessarily cease agitation and words must forget prapañca.
