Regarding the Commentary's statement "in various sūtras and treatises there are many further explanations, but out of fear of tedious text [they are omitted]": the *Mahāprajñāpāramitopadeśa* states, "Praising giving is good in the beginning; praising keeping precepts is good in the middle; praising the two karmic retributions of being born in heaven or a pure land is called good in the end." It further states that the śrāvaka, pratyekabuddha, and Mahāyāna are also called the three goods.

The *Ratnakāraṇḍa-sūtra* states, "Knowing suffering and eradicating origination is called good in the beginning; cultivating the eightfold noble path is good in the middle; realizing cessation is called good in the end. These are called the śrāvaka's good in the beginning, middle, and end. If one does not abandon the bodhicitta, does not think of the lesser vehicles, and dedicates [all] toward omniscience, this is called the bodhisattva's good in the beginning, middle, and end, and so on."

Exposition: The present commentary relies entirely on the *Yogācārabhūmi*, and therefore points to the remaining explanations.
